Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Historically speaking, successful social change for the better, eg revolutions, has almost always come only when certain middle class/privileged people joined with underprivileged people.
Attacking anyone who is richer or whiter than yourself, when they are on the same side as you, is stupid.

To add to this: You do see the irony in replying to a post about white activism and its hypocrisy with "well, activism works better when white people get involved"? Right? RIGHT?

What on earth makes you think I was referring to "white people" getting involved in non-white struggle???? Modern American race politics is meaningless in the context of the last thousand years of historical change.
I recommend you get yourself a copy of, say, The People's History of the World and read up on social change in ancient Rome, the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, the Caliphates etc.
What I am talking about is simply a matter of historical record.
A specifically non-white non-western example I can give you off the top of my head is the importance of the involvement of warrior caste people like Adbaraya Toya in the Haitian revolution.
Leave it to the white man to dismiss the impact of their parasitic race on the entirety of the world as "modern American race politics". Take a stroll through the posts on this community and tell how many of the "World News" are actually White News. Keep in mind white people make less than 10% of the population.
World News is not Lemmy, and looking at posts doesn't determine the population make-up of Lemmy users. Neither does posts about White News, whatever that means, determine the race of then poster.
Nah, you're just selectively looking at evidence without nuance or understanding of what they actually show, just like people who spout statistics to call black people violent. There's a reason analysis is required to turn data into accurate conclusions, not just looking at it at face value like you are doing. What's funny is you're even using the exact same argument as them when called out.
