Restoring the Crime Victims Hotline. Resuming non-English translations for the National Weather Service. Restoring funding for the most successful long-running study of women's health in history.
Protests broke out immediately over the WI judge arrested for "obstructing" an ICE arrest and she was quickly released, prompting the governor to officially limit cooperation with ICE from state employees. Trump is drowning in lawsuits over small businesses and state economies hurt by tariffs. Lawsuits from schools and research institutes over funding cuts. SCOTUS is not greenlighting his witch-hunts, and his DOJ is not going to avoid a contempt charge over the Abrego Garcia case.
100 days in, and he's absolutely lost the public. An increasingly united refusal to comply from every level of government and civil society will absolutely be the end of his wannabe-dictator reign. In fact, it appears to work much better than capitulating in fear, and a new ad campaign is resolved to make that clear.
Do not break stride. Keep showing up. Keep refusing to accept any of his blatantly corrupt actions as legitimate. Keep demanding the attention of the media, lawmakers, and the public. It's working, the tides are turning, because we've kept showing up, speaking out, and refusing to give in.
We're witnessing the last tantrums of a doomspiraling administration. The delayed effects of this tariff war will become visible on the shelves within the next 2-3weeks, and the trucking industry is going to take a hit with the 30% drop in cargo too. It'll suck but it will also make it impossible for Republicans in Congress to keep defending him...
Impeachment is imminent.
Let nothing slow this movement down, flow around the twists and turns like water and keep moving forward. Trump's regime is too incompetent and reckless to hold itself together in the face of united resistance.

They won't. Republicans had their chances and failed at every turn. The GOP favour power over all else. Mid term Dem success is needed to take majorities.
I know the Dems are uninspiring, but hold your noses, smash the fascists and then turn target on corporate Dems.

Get better candidates that are anti fascist and support ideas that inspire voters from independents and progressive left so they actually come out and vote like their country depends on it.

Fair point and I agree with this. Primaries are a good way to get good candidates. However, when the dust settles, whoever wins, back them because they're better than GOP and may provide a vote that tips the balance in certain key votes.
Then when the next primaries come, rinse yourself off, repeat, organise and improve. See if success comes then.
They might. Most of them see how damaging and dangerous this is. Less than half are on board for full fucking Nazi fascism if they think they have an out.
"Imminent" is pushing it. Impeachment by the end of the year is more likely than not.
No, because any GOP that goes against Trump suffers electorally or get booted out. They're spineless and scared, so will not, even if they want to. They know how their bread is buttered. At the first impeachment, they failed to stand up when they could because Trump supporters deeply infected the party at all levels. They could have stopped this before it even started.
Don't get me wrong, I want this as much as you, but unfortunately it's naive and not based in reality. It'll only lead to disappointment and a feeling of hopelessness. Organise and effect the change you want to see, don't hope leadership comes from elsewhere. It comes from each and every one of us taking steps to do the right thing, regardless of the discomfort.
I completely agree, but if they're offered an actual opportunity, they'll likely take it. Things in the first term were easier to ignore than this term. They're not all idiots.
It needs to be coordinated so we don't blow one at a time. But not every GOP congressman wants to betray their country. We should allow them some leeway for their cowardice if it leads to using them to save the country at a smarter time, if we can coordinate them to actually accomplish impeachment.
If Trump is actually impeached and convicted, it might blow up their party temporarily. But they can split and lead their party in a new direction. One where they can be more honest about their politics. A smarter, better, more honest, actually patriotic Republican party. It's possible. I wouldn't start with Jim Jordan though.
