The DNC? Will never happen. They need to be afraid of the people and for all their bluster I've never seen them do anything but capitulate.
David Hogg (Parkland Massacre survivor, and a loud anti-MAGA voice) is now a vice chair of the DNC, and he is calling for investing $20 million in primarying weak Democratic incumbents. I hope one of those is my Dem congressional rep, who is a useless weenie.
He's starting to show up on political talk shows, and he is a very smart, impressive, charismatic, COURAGEOUS young man, who is determined to change the Democratic party from within. He is scaring the shit out of the old established cowards.
We need to support him, and the rest of the new rising segment of young progressives like AOC, Frost, Crockett, etc., and those they inspire.
I support David Hoggs intentions. I just don't know if he picked the right way to go about it.
By threatening to primary weak incumbents? Its EXACTLY what the Republicans do to keep their cowardly people in line. HitlerPig threatens to primary his incumbents all the time, and it's very effective in keeping them from listening to their consciences and going rogue.
One of the worst things about the Democrats is trying to herd the cats. Stealing effective strategies from the Reoublicans is an excellent idea to focus them so they can effectively fight back against the MAGA Nazis. And also get rid of weak losers like my congressman. I hope he's on the list.
I'm not going to operate like the gop
Ah, the Michelle Obama Doctrine - "When they go low, we go high." That sort of cowardly strategy is what brought us here. The real doctine should be "When they go low, we kick them in the teeth, really, really hard."
We don't have to lie, cheat, and steal like Republicans, we just have to play Hard Ball, like they do. They exploit every opportunity and loophole they find, and there is no reason Democrats can't do the same thing. If we had done that during the Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations, we wouldnt be in this fix right now. In fact, if we had done it earlier, Bush wouldn't even have been president, and we would have had continuous Democratic leadership since 1992.
When Biden was inaugurated, he should have rounded up HitlerPig and his henchmen and sent them to Gitmo for extended interrogation. Instead he appointed a Republican as AG, who dithered and slow walked HitlerPig's obvious treason, giving him a 2 year head start on successfully running out the clock.
When HitlerPig was inaugurated, they launched a blitzkrieg attack on the entire nation, and here we are.
IF we get another chance, we have to react with the same bold action, and crush MAGA, and mercilessly purge them from existence. We cant just go back to the same old Democratic weakness, led by weenies like Schumer, Jeffries, Biden, Obama, etc. People like Hogg and AOC are our future, if we want to continue to exist as anything more than a puppet state for Sociopathic Oligarchs.
There's going low, then there's emulating the right.
I agree, and I dont advocate for copying most of their unethical, illegal, and unconstitutional methods. But if something works, without stepping over that line, we should definitely adopt it. We shouldn't limit our selves from successful options just because Reps did it first. Democrats are way too good at shooting themselves in the foot that way.
Telling insipid weenie Dems that they better pick up their game or we'll find someone who will, should not be off the table simply because Reps employ it. Thats just good politics that strengthens your party.
Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself.
