You're most definitely not the only person to think and feel so. I, however, was not old enough to be around when it happened. Despite me knowing that that event was really impactful to so many people in so many ways, it still only ever brings me to as much emotion as other tragedies of times long since past. It's just another chapter in the history book to me. The simple shock content of wearing a hideous attire depicting "i love CRANKING MY HOG" and 9/11 to meet your partner's parents is funny to me. I don't wish to invalidate or criticize your feelings towards this post - quite the opposite really - I just wanted to let you know how and why someone could find this funny at all.
