The original comment talked about Xinjiang province, not about Falun Gong practitioners, whom are interviewed in your article.

Falun Gong is a cult, and it's a political organization linked to Trump and to anti-Chinese propaganda. From Wikipedia:

The performance arts group Shen Yun and the media organization The Epoch Times are the major outreach organizations of Falun Gong.[5] Both promote the spiritual and political teachings of Falun Gong.[109][110][111] They and a variety of other organizations such as New Tang Dynasty Television (NTD) operate as extensions of Falun Gong. These extensions promote the new religious movement and its teachings. In the case of The Epoch Times, they also promote conspiracy theories such as QAnon and anti-vaccine misinformation[112] and far-right politics in both Europe and the United States.[58][26][27] Around the time of the 2016 United States presidential election, The Epoch Times began running articles supportive of Donald Trump and critical of his opponents.[113][27] Falun Gong extensions have also been active in promoting the European radical right.

Are these the people whose testimonies on China you'll be believing?

Man, good one, tankie. I'm sure Xi will be increasing your food rations for the month.

We're also believing the videos from inside the compounds and the Uyghur Muslims from the province that escaped.

You must be really proud of yourself for covering up some of the most heinous crimes against humanity that can ever occur.

Oh, now Wikipedia is a tankie too? Damn, you should tell the rest of lemmitors. Lmfao.

Sucks that so many people in Lemmy use "tankie" as a though terminating cliche. "I don't like what I'm reading, must be a tankie".

Its not so much a terminating term, as much as a term used for people who blindly defend "cOmMuNiST" (fascist) regimes breaking human rights. Im just going to assume youre paid for by either china or russia to push these lies, because no moral and decent human would approve this type of industrialised torture and genocide unless they were being paid or a complete and utter sociopath.

You can keep moving the goal post "oh, this person must be a liar" "oh, I dont trust that source" "these videos from outside the camp the chinese military refuse to let us into must be doctored" but Im not going to waste my time arguing with a bot or an agent.

"Not a thought terminating cliche, just gonna assume you're paid by China and Russia!! No moral human would defend China (hasn't participated in a war in 40 years) against the glorious USA (economic, political and military facilitator of the genocide in Palestine, while having higher prison count than China despite 1/5th the population)"
