Is Canada getting sober?
No, were just sobering up to American booze. The shelfs here are fully stocked with local alcohols.
Local and international. Just not from the US.
Where Canada really needs to make that happen is cars.
You think that would make the whiskey here in the US cheaper since they can't sell it, but nope, nothing stops stagflation.
For the first time, I saw Moosehead in Ontario. It’s wild man
I saw a moose knuckle in Montreal once.
We have our own bourbon style whisky. I had some yesterday in a cocktail and it was good.
Legally, we can only call it bourbon unless it comes from the US. I'd like to see us scrap that or come up with a better name. It would be nice seeing our distilleries use the brand to sell better.
Seriously not a fan of that regional protectionism bullshit.
I am. It prevents fakes from entering the market. In Italy, food and wine is all regionally controlled to prevent disasters like the Olive Garden.
Having a sticker that says 'from the region region of place' is fine. Not being able to call it a Champaigne style wine so a person who doesn't already know wine can tell what's what is a pain in the ass.
It's just called Bourbon style whiskey. Why does Kentucky have any right to a region in France?
I prefer the term Sparkling Fascism.
Recommend one I might be able to find in the U.S.?
stores actively pulled off american liquor because of the Canada annexation comments and trade tariffs
No, we came to our senses and have refined our taste.
Hahaha, Canada has so much booze. We have a ton of fine ryes and most of the best booze comes from the EU/UK anyway. We also get a lot of south american and Aussie wines.
We didn't need the US, their booze was just cheaper. Then trump fixed that.
