Real talk, why does it seem like everything is made in Quebec?

What is the Quebec government doing that's different that encourages so much manufacturing? I ask as an Ontario resident... I feel like as I've tried to buy Canadian it's made me realize that like 80% of the Canadian options for manufactured goods seem to be Quebec made.

Quebec has nice ports, more accountability and cheaper cost of living for the workers.

The ports / shipping access make sense as an inherent geographic factor, but what is leading to the cheaper cost of living for workers? Is it just that Quebec hasn't seen the same kind of explosive population growth? A more rural population? Specific government policies?

Their democracy has strong caps on political contributions for provincial elections, so there’s less shenanigans with politicians playing around with taxpayer money.

The services such as vehicle insurance, telecom, power is the cheapest in all of Canada.

I moved to Quebec recently, and was unable to find a provincial deal on cell phones better than we already had in Ontario. I was surprised, because it certainly used to be cheaper here.

But yes, I do enjoy paying $0.07/kWh for residential electricity, and knowing that it is coming from the hydro dam just up the road from me.
