No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

This is not reddit and when you make these kinds of insinuations you only ever wind up sounding like a conspiracist or a dolt (perhaps both).
You'll find a large majority of Lemmy instances are pretty critical of the US Democrattic party and rightly so.
I have not found that to be the case. Say anything less than worshipful of the genocide wing that runs the party and you'll get pushback. Try it for the very first time.

By which I mean your sweeping, obviously inaccurate claims about the userbase, not the genocide, which is definitely happening, happened under the previous administration too, and is extremely fucked up, and likely contributed to the fascists getting elected given how abysmally the DNC handled the entire situation?
You have a lot more issue with my saying that lemmy makes excuses for democrats than you do about the straight up lie that no democrat has ever appointed an FBI chair. Because that lie is there to excuse bad behavior of democrats.
The prevailing consensus on lemmy is that the democrats did nothing wrong at all and the mean old voters denied them the election.

If you really believe this, then you have serious reading comprehension skills and/or only interpret everything in a way the reinforces your existing biases . From my experience, a majority of people here, myself included, would happily see both parties burn to the ground and replaced with a system that empowers We The People to choose real representatives.

Saying shit like "the Democratic party revolves around genocide" is what gets you push back. Try saying something realistic and people will agree.
From people who know it's true, love it, and never want it to change except for the worse. When their actions indicate that they support another policy with greater persistence and enthusiasm, I'll believe the party actually has other policies.

It doesn't seem to phase commenters like you that the Trump administration is just as friendly with Israel. How come you're silent about that?
No one argues with me when I say that trump is pro-genocide, for one. But I'll admit that I'm intensely bitter about democrats' support for genocide. No political party in the US should ever support genocide, and yet even the "good" party does. I'm livid at all the procedural bullshit they applied toward making sure they didn't keep their campaign promises, while breaking actual law to support genocide.
Just because I fucking hate democrats for what they did, that doesn't mean I don't hate the republicans they keep trying to be for showing them what policies to espouse.
That said, the insinuation that anyone who has a problem with literal genocide must be a republican is a centrist go-to, and it's the least surprising comment in the whole thread.
