My GSD shed this year from February to July. Her coat never got thinner she just kept making and shedding the undercoat for 5 months. My roomba came around the corner and just said "I'm Tired Boss" I started breaking out the dustmop because it was filling a bag every 2 days.
finally in august, she just stopped shedding and hasn't re-formed her thick coat yet.
might have to get her a calendar for xmas....
