Canada was one of the countries that refused to allow Jews to enter the country. Now people want us to be that way again. That's the reason why a Jewish state has to exist.

History doesn't repeat, but it sure does rhyme. It's a sad state of affairs that the younger generation is falling for the same antisemitic bullshit people fell for a hundred years ago, but here we are.

I wish we lived in a world where a Jewish state isn't necessary, but it's necessary because of people rationalizing why it's a good thing to refuse Jews entry into the country. There needs to be at least one country in the world that won't refuse Jews entry. The only guarantee that there will be at least one country in the world that won't refuse the entry of Jews in times of antisemitism (In case you didn't notice, we're in one of those times right now) is if there's a Jewish state.

Yes it's embarrassing to humanity that we can't shake the whole antisemitism thing which necessitates a Jewish state. But humanity sucks and it's the only way for it to be guaranteed there is a safe place for Jews in times like this is for there to be a Jewish state.
