The housing is paid by public money (taxes) and goes to for-profit companies (private jails). The imprisoned are then used as slave labour for other for-profit companies.
All according to the plan for wealth transfer from the poor to the rich
Don't forget the multi-generational damage done to the earning potential of everyone who has gone to jail, or who is impacted by a relative going to jail!
