Holy shit. I never thought about that.

Is trump the first non-straight president??? THIS is the guy that will represent LGBQT?

Holy fuck I do not understand life....

i just checked and aparently it was Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir of iceland in 2013, altho technically they were prime minister, not president. the first president would have been Edgars Rinkēvičs in 2023... which is after trumps first presidency.

of course these are only the first openly gay ones. while looking into this i saw that james buchanas in 1844 was the first known gay us president, altho they were closeted. still, they are beating trump in that competition.

altho iirc clinton was a presiden as well? so if trump gave clinton head, then clinton was a gay president before trump... unless its not gay to receive head?

the list of openly gay heads of states is really short btw and well... only starts in 2013. im no one for girlbossing, but this is both quite sad and a positive sign for increasing queer acceptance. let's hope with gay president trump this will get even better

There was also William the third of Orange, who first lived in the Netherlands where he had no wife but a lot of really close friends who would visit him frequent behind closed doors. He eventually married his cousin Mary Stuart and became the king of England and Scotland in 1689.

William the third of Orange

Ugh! So close! If only it had been "Donald the third of Orange". Then it would be one of those things that you see on TV shows, where they tell a story of a really long time ago (in this case the 1680s), and they just use their normal characters to play the roles of historical figures.

I'm just imagining a Simpsonized version of trump, in 1689 royal garbs, being known as "Donald the third of Orange".

sigh

The jokes write themselves when our president is a joke.
