Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

The link shows only

abcnews.go.com

You could still change the title btw.

ABC is a US news company...

Also, I'm not the OP.

[–] ButteryMonkey@piefed.social 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

ABC is also the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, so that’s not a sure fire way to know.

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

If if was that one then it would have the .au TLD if we're looking at the link so we can tell just by looking at the link its not the Australian one.

[–] ButteryMonkey@piefed.social 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Sure, if you already know that, that’s a valid way to tell them apart.

But if you don’t, it’s not necessarily obvious.

[–] korendian@lemmy.zip -1 points 5 days ago (2 children)

The amount of time you've spend bitching about this is ten fold what it would take to just click the link and find out.

[–] FreeBeard@slrpnk.net 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Why is it that you US Americans are so dense in being the main character. Just write USA in the header for a post in an international news channel. Like - you know - every other country in the world. You must agree that this would be the most civil solution or not?

[–] korendian@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 days ago

Lmao, what a fucking drama queen.

[–] ButteryMonkey@piefed.social 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Why do I need to click the link for something I already knew?

Why is it bitching to teach people something they may not know?

You are still talking?
