Imagine Trump voters reading this EXACT headline during Biden's presidency. They would have lost their minds. They wouldn't take a vaccine because they thought there was a 5g chip in it, but this is ok?
I was raised by republicans so I can provide some insight. Its because they would have to admit they were wrong about Trump. You can either admit you were wrong and declare him a tyrant or you can back him on everything. You can guess which most of them choose.

It starts from an extremely young age when they're taught that questioning what their parents and pastor say is an unforgivable moral failure.

It's human nature that some people don't feel, or don't feel as acutely. There's also a cultish aspect to it, where because everything is MAGA Vs democrats, all your friends and identity are likely bound up in the same thing, so admitting you were wrong isn't just admitting you were wrong: it's completely changing the way you see yourself and severing many relationships.

It's a cult. You don't disagree with dear leader. That's the whole point of indoctrination. THEIR restrictive laws are evil and non constitutional. OUR restrive laws are for the good of everyone and backed by God.
They don’t read. Literally every headline r/Conservative goes like this:

The literally only see propaganda to make them scared of immigrants and liberals. They don’t actually see any news about things the administration actually does/says.

I mean, moreso, that we're just taking it. Conservatives stormed stores with mask mandates and forcefully "bought" items while being refused service. In Canada, they had that whole Truck convoy. All of this, over conspiracy theories and inconveniences.
Meanwhile ICE is running mass "deportations" (to random countries the victims never belonged to) and people are... just letting it happen??
