I would argue that the Epstein files is a threat of democracy. There is a sizeable part of the elite class was alllowed to committ heinous crimes against vulnerable victims. These people will never face justice as long as the Epstein files are confidential.

You can't have a three tier justice system in a democractic system. First tier, is "Fuck you, you're going to jail forever", second tier is "We're going to slap you on the wrist, don't do it again." Third tier is "Don't worry, you'll never be held responsible".

A functional democracy needs to have a functional justice system.

A functional democracy needs to have a functional justice system.

i completely agree with this.

but i do not believe that release of the epstein files, whatever that is, would result in this optimal state of affairs. and you shouldn't believe it either - it would be released by his own fucking administration, what do you think would happen? you think they would implicate themselves?

i do however believe that it is a distraction from the fact that he just tore down half of the the white house, that he uses army and ice to lead war on american people, that he is building concentration camps and that he is working towards nullification of the next elections.
