As a long time equipment operator who puts their hard hat on only outside of the equipment, okay.
I know in my area this hard hat rule is strictly enforced.
Do we have Americans (no rules) vs Canadians (actual safety) going on in this discussion?
Sometimes Canada goes overboard. In Ontario you need to wear a hard hat to plant trees.
