Or one could just make pennyroyal tea, it is a type of mint, and is safe and effective using as tea.
But if you want to get a permission slip from a doctor go ahead I guess.
Perfectly safe ... apart from the liver and neurological damage.
It works as an aborficant because it's toxic, and there's no way to accurately control the dose in homemade "tea" even if the user somehow knows what the "safe" does for their body is.
If it's the only option: it get it. But using it for an abortion when infinitely more effective and safer medications are available is insane.
Not when used as tea it is safe as was reported in the National Institute of Health before they pulled the article on replaced it with a fear mongering one about five years back.
The anti-abortion people are equating use of the tea with use of the oil.
Backyard abortions are less safe and less reliable
Penmyroyal is safe amd used for thousands of years and does not require a permission slip from a doctor.
If you do not trust yourself to treat yourself as humans have done since before history, by all means get your permission slips.
Do not stifle the knowledge of millenium though because you hate freedom.
I was curious so I looked it up on a few sites
So that parts says tea is basically OK but oil is bad but the next part confirms how.
Few other sites just said avoid the tea form when pregnant as it could induce abortion. Not sure how reliable this is but must be consistent enough for all the warnings everywhere.
It has a long history of use inducing abortions. It was described in the National Institute of Health as a safe method up until about 5 years ago when they pulled that article and seemed to have replaced it with one falsely equating use of the oil with use of the tea in danger.
Thats seems consistent with what I read. Maybe big pharma had a hand. The focus on sites was always on the oil being dangerous. I didnt see any data on the tea side dosage or efficiency which is why im skeptical vs pharma data that is plentiful in comparison. Frustrating for those that need an alternative.
Finding reliable information on medicinal plants is fiendishly difficult as well. Money over talk benefits of some plants often trying to sell them, then Pharma shills bad mouth them unfairly. The National Institute of Health is actually a Fairly reliable source, I do not know how much longer that might hold into the future but they do still have a lot of good information about medicinal plants outside of hot button stuff like this.
