Free speech advocates fear a new bill could let the Secretary of State strip passports from US citizens based on their speech. "Rubio has claimed the power to designate people terrorist supporters based solely on what they think and say," one said.

I would say that this would backfire on Republicans if a Democrat got back into office but honestly the unintended consequences would be very limited.

Democrat got back in and failed to arrest and imprison them …again because democrats don’t do shit. We need a working class party that isn’t bought out by facists

Even the ones that do, and I still know a few, don't travel outside of the US because "'Merica's the place I need to visit".

Yeah, I don’t think the dems are winning anything anymore. This regime will make sure of that. If it isn’t via outright autocracy by preventing dems from running or eliminating the vote, it’ll be via threatening the voters themselves.
