Well interestingly I could not find Kirk saying anything about Melissa Hortmans killing. That day is chock full of huge boner post for Israel Iranian War. When another shooting happened a day later he said (excerpt):

now today's diabolical attack in Minnesota, allegedly by Vance Luther Boelter.

There are far too many mentally unstable and suggestible people on the left …

Edit: I'm aware Boelter turned out to be more of a Christo-Fascist. That's why I found Kirk immediately blaming "the left" without knowing anything so weird.

It was a really popular conservative conspiracy that Vance Boelter was a Democrat. Conservative talking heads know their base won't do any fact checking, so they made up a narrative and their audience ate it up. I bet many of them still believe Boelter was a Democrat, despite all evidence to the contrary
