At this point I'm pretty sure at least half the people cirtisizing lack of violence in America are feds trying to get people to spill incriminating evidence. You look stupid complaining online about not hearing about shit you can't say online. No one's booting up an onion router to brag to some shithead on lemmy about how they returned a tear gas canister to the cops.
There's a bunch of keyboard warriors demanding OTHERS take action. And I wish there was a mass tagging tool so we can root out these provocateurs.
Provocateurs is almost too generous a term for them, it's like opsec 101 not to post shit like that on extremely public forums no matter how anonymized they claim to be. It's basically like when your IT department secretly sends sketchy emails to test if you're dumb enough to click it.
