Dude, I wasn't talking about me. It is possible to think about things that affect other people rather than yourself, and to want other people to enjoy things as much as you did, but it seems you wouldn't know much about that.

I've seen people get butthurt over spoilers from NES games. To me, that feels unreasonable.

There needs to be a point where we stop agonizing over spoiling content that is 30, 40 years old. Even if you never had a chance to play it, it's 30 or 40 years old. I don't know where that cutoff point needs to be. I'm just saying there needs to be one. And if you're going to be upset over spoilers, over content that that's that old, then maybe you need to be careful about what you're reading.

Dunno. The ::: spoiler -tag does exist and is not difficult to use at all. Why not use it?

Because sometimes it isn't always clear what will be a spoiler. >!And I think spoilering everything would be silly and not helpful at all. Especially considering that different Lemmy clients do spoilers differently sometimes!<
