Blocking public roadways and highways in an act of mass protest could saddle groups expressing their First Amendment rights with misdemeanor charges, heavy fines and possible jail time under a Republican bill discussed Wednesday by a Michigan House panel.

House Bill 4664, sponsored by state Rep. Alicia St. Germaine (R-Harrison Township), was before the House Judiciary Committee, which adopted a substitute altering the bill but took no further action after hearing testimony.

Lifelong anti-gun filthy liberal here.

It is absolutely time to arm up.

I'm all about advocating for stricter gun laws to reduce the number of firearms present in society. But the bottom line is we do not live in a healthy, intelligent society that can do that. And now we're trending hard in the opposite direction.

Fascism is here. Fascism doesn't go away without violence. Firearms will be necessary. It's as simple as that.

The bully is on the playground. You are either going to get beaten into submission or you're going to stand up for yourself.

Arm yourself.
