Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

So they have to know prisoners will cost more than doing nothing. What I don't get is this: Keeping a prisoner costs far more than paying a free man. So what's the game here?

Funneling public tax money to Trump's buddies who own private prisons.

You're assuming they'll have a roof and proper meals. Look at the current conditions in Alligator Auschwitz and then make it worse.

Its easier to suck away the public money with a prison/asylum system as they are owned by individual companies. House tends to be construted by companies and oft times some government agencies own them or god forbid transfer ownership to the residents. Almost no skim in that system so bad.

So what's the game here?

In certain cases in history, healthy prisoners were made profitable through enforced labor, while unhealthy prisoners were executed.
