This might unfortunately make me sound like a pedophile.. but all decent humans don't hate pedophiles, they hate (child) sexual assaulters (is that a word?). All decent humans want pedophiles to get appropriate and effective help long before they act. Which would both reduce the number of harmed children and increase the number of functioning and (possibly) happy adults
On all other things I would agree. In general, stigmatization causes lower administration rates w/ therapy and block effective help.
But I draw the line at pedophiles. life sentence, shortened to 25 years after chemical castration and mandatory psychiatric evaluation
This has to be the stupidest thing I have ever read. You want to preemptively jail people and castrate them? For doing what? How do you even decide?
Btw chemical castration is not a humane punishment even after conviction
Inhumane punishment for an inhumane crime.

No, they can choose to shorten it themselves. If you are wrongly accused you just don't and wait for the justice system to correct itself
