My dad had a 1inch thick glass kitchen table. Practically indestructible. The crappy light fixture above it, weighing 20lbs, failed and free-falls 6ft. Nothing. I never found out what the technical breaking limits were on that specific table, but later decided to dispose of it. It took 6 men to get it outside onto the flat driveway. And about 10 minutes of all guys pounding the damn thing edge-on with sledgehammers to finally get it to safely shatter.
Just have to find its resonant frequency. Wear safety glasses and long pants and long sleeve shirt.
A sturdy collar, too. I know the story of a guy who bled to death in mere minutes after taking a single piece of shrapnel to the neck.
