Their opinion doesn't count, as long as the big corporations and racist lobbyists are happy, the people's will means nothing.
That's only when the wealthy own both parties...
They don't control the DNC anymore, and trying to make trump do what you already paid him to do is an exercise in futility.
Shit looks bad for everyone right now, including the wealthy.
Which is why the media is pushing people to disengage from politics.
Don't do what billionaires want you to do, it's never in your favor.
As a non American I'm not sure how you're going to overcome this, if the bill passes the house you've essentially given Trump a loyal private army given the ICE budget and it doesn't look like anyone has the stomach to do what's needed in opposition. Democrats are still attacking Mamdani lol, the system is beyond corrupt.
The felon king is completely unaccountable. I definitely don’t see this going well.

Like, as an American who has been paying attention since the DNC defended Bill lying about getting a BJ from an intern:
This is the most optimistic I've been about the Dem party except for the brief window between Obama winning the 08 election, and then him saying he wouldn't name a DNC chair.
I can go on a big rant with details on why we should be optimistic about the party and the country if you want, but if you're ok with recycling I can link you an old comment.
It's fucking weird to spend this much time defending the DNC, but people need to understand the chair is the DNC. And we've got a really fucking good chair since February, and he is already doing shit.

This seems more aspirational than based in reality. There are some fringes that have escaped their clutches, but establishment Democrats are still entrenched in the system.
You're not thinking wealthy enough. The system works perfectly for anyone who can afford to donate $1m for a pardon or $5m for citizenship.
Money is definitely afraid of passion, because it can't be bought.

The example he used was Minnesota where one district wants Illhan Omar and another wants some shitty moderate.
But Martin is going to run national DNC like Minnesota.

When the states governor and the top members of the Democratic Party in congress are refusing to endorse the democratic primary winner, they are the DNC. This is Bernie all over again.

But Martin is the DNC chair, and he hasn't said a single bad thing about Mamdani that I'm aware of.
He"s using synecdoche, saying "DNC" when he means "the majority of prominent Democrats." You're speaking specifically about the actual DNC. That's why you're disagreeing even though you're both right.
