I once actually left a 4 year fulltime job like this. Just walked out, sent an email "peace, I'm out" and went home, never went back again.
Would still not recommend, went through some serious shit before I managed to get employed again.
Are you happier today in a different job? That's what matters
Hah, it's complicated. The above happened in 2014 and in 2015 I found a great job at a great company. Then, five years later during Covid, it was sold to a multinational and everything went to shit. I'm still here because I can't find anything else and honestly I'm rather bad at my job, so I don't feel confident I would be able to cut it elsewhere.
Lots of growing to do still...
