Weekend dates bring in the most people. Others have already suggested June 14th, so I’ll throw in my comment for Saturday, June 28th.

I’ve seen some groups maintain a chat dedicated to “pop up protests” for these “points of intervention”. They usually only give a week or two worth of notice for these events. They don’t attract the same number of people, but they are still able to get their message across to stakeholders and the press.
For national days of action that we communicate out far in advance, I lean towards dates that let the most people participate.
How disheartening…. At least 50501 has activated people across the nation to build a movement. I’m sure they will find a new home if 50501 melts down.
Hope the creators/ mods have the self awareness to go to a left leaning media presence and get some basic media training before telling all. We don’t need a repeat of r/antiwork.
If some PAC or NP wants to be the face the movement, we should vote on it and they should be transparent. There is good reason to have a PAC and NP at the national level, especially for funding. They’ve poisoned the well at this point though. It so sad because this could have been done amicably in good faith with transparency.
