As someone who is not educated in the topic I’m going to stick with my gut feeling over any scientific evidence.

I think the summarisation of video meetings is where LLMs may actually find a reasonable use.

A friend who is very considered and I would call very smart feels that is a very useful feature in his job at an accounting firm. Especially with clients involved

Is trump the common enemy that finally unites the reds and the blues?

I wonder what the relationship between chip size and other costs is. You’d think a tiny scale chip like a modern cpu is more expensive to produce than larger, less fine controllers like the kind used in basic electronics but with smaller sizes comes less raw materials, lower shipping costs and you can cram more functions on the one chip. Once you have set up the manufacturing process perhaps there is an economic reason for using the fancy stuff beyond just wanting to cram the worlds worst example of a computer into the car dashboard

The problem is back when we used to sack the castle if the king let us down there were only guards with hand weapons, maybe some cross bows in the way. You could overwhelm them with numbers pretty easily.

And the castle was just up on the hill you all lived around.

Now with the weaponry that is available (especially to the us govenment) the ability to defend against untrained and under armed civilians massive. And the castle may well be across the country. And that slimy fuck will be over in Argentina with a $40 billion tab courtesy of the US people.

I’m really worried that trump will face zero consequences for his actions. It’s not like he ever really has before.

I think for many people getting a tattoo is a huge deal and we would never allow our skin to be marked without out a lot of forethought.

But I think there is a good chunk of the population that doesn’t think about it and don’t see it as a big deal. I think a lot of these people are concentrated in the military, the lack of forethought is increased when you are in a job that may well see you killed soon.

I’d like to see him reaching out to new and old military members to educate them on the meaning he apparently didn’t know about and pushing them to remove it.

Someone with some art skills should come up with a suitably cool modification tattoo that neutralises the nazi aspect and but still lets these guys support and identify with battle mates.

It’s not their fault the nazis happens co opt heaps of cool symbols and I don’t blame some 22 year old jar head for not knowing history (they should but the US education system has a lot to answer for).

If you give people an easy way out that lets them save face you’ll only be left with the actual racists.

I floated the idea of going for a run later. It’s not going to happen but I’d like some praise all the same

Sounds like a true representative of the average American.

And then I read about someone’s smart bed that got stuck in an upright position on heat mode because of the outage. Makes me feel like all that time sourcing devices that run locally was worth it.

Are we just digital preppers?

Edit: I get it, you aren't preppers, I'm sorry I said that.

From reading your comments I have gathered that you simply want to be ready (not prepared!) for when a free service becomes paid or they shut something down that you use or you simply don't like the idea of the gubbermint or the corporations being able to look though your data.

Many of you seem aware that your concerns are considered far fetched or like non issues by the average person.

well you are preppers, I'm sorry you had to find out this way.
