Hey thank you for posting that. I know it's not what you wanted but I am looking for safe resources and this is what I need

(I'm trying to heal from some trauma and ngl seeing it at first was a bit triggering but I feel better after reading that description. So thank you sincerely)

Just realized that's drawn over a bunch of Christian writing. I bet this pissed off a lot of people and I love it

There's a cross and a crown off to the upper right of the image and it appears that the kirk art is over the words "Christ is King"

I had that feeling growing up but not the words to put it in. That world war three won't look like two and we're probably in it right now (this was many years ago when different turmoil was happening.)

The other reply posted a link that I'd like to read because it looks fascinating which discusses the generations of warfare. I got through the abstract but it's early rn so I'm not trying to get through the whole thing. It confirms what I felt all these years

The acronym FAST is good to know:

One last thing. It's ted-ed but here's a brain researcher who experienced and analyzed a stroke as one happened:

Cw if you need: she displays and handles a real human brain and spinal cord

Thank you because I know a bit, but I don't know enough about him and his shtick to understand the greater context. I'm also not familiar enough with those dog whistles to catch them all out in the wild

Edit: spelling

I don't play dnd but I love cards and dice. I haven't checked out their merch but I'd love to support them. I'll check out the dice!

Super wholesome comment! That was a delight to read

It was giving me very "House of Leaves" vibes, though I haven't read that one either. Given the context I can see how those errors (?) add to the environment of the topic. It is still very jarring but I think Mr. Thomson would appreciate the way it reads

I apologize, I thought there was some sort of weird formatting error. Rereading it with a clearer mind and eyes I realize that was intentional

That isn't something I'd have gone out of my way to find and read but I'll check it out after having a recommendation dropped in my lap. My local library only has it on audiobook. 17 hours! Great for a road trip 😄 it seems interesting, and by a very interesting author nonetheless

I'd appreciate that quote more if you could link the original context. It's very hard to parse

This is how I see the comments:

2 adults and 1 younger teen

We're going on a two week road trip that'll be fairly leisurely. Stopping by some parks and sights as we go and a few nights at our ultimate destination

I had my car recently serviced. It all checks out

I have a steam deck on the way! Any recommendations here for travel accessories? Or just in general?

We've all got devices and chargers and their respective blocks. I'm looking at a power inverter for the hungrier devices
I was debating bringing the oculus to give whomever a bit of isolation if they need; is there anything specific I'd need to do to use it where there's no internet? I haven't used it enough to be very familiar with most of its abilities

We adults have ps5s. Most likely won't bring one. I've seen portable monitors that people use with a local device; does anyone have experience using one for remote play for the ps5?

And making sure we've got entertainment downloaded to our devices; obviously books and offline/non electronic entertainment will be brought, as well

I'm really looking forward to this and want to make it the best experience for all involved! I look forward to hearing your tips

Edit to add: the point of the road trip is to bury my grandfather. And I'm petrified of flying in the current state of the US

Since we HAVE to make this trip we're trying to make the most of it by stopping by some state/national parks and other landmarks/pois during which we'll be present. But there's going to be LONG stretches of literally nothing exciting. Like corn fields. Many hours of corn fields. Most days are 6 - 10 hours in the car
