Hah true that! Cardboard and packing paper are some of her favorite things to play with, and we'll often let her tear boxes up a bit before recycling.

Her human servants know that all things must be kept up to her exacting standards. 💅

Had no idea how crazy huge Mariposa and San Diego Counties used to be.

There was also this little inset showing how Mariposa County was eventually broken up into the current day counties.

I couldn't manage to capture how truly neon yellow the white was, it was almost highlighter colored. The yolk broke super easily, and at first I thought it was rotten, but it had no smell.

With a precursory bit of searching, it seems this could either be the result of bacteria getting in the egg, or that the chicken had a diet high in insects and this egg is extra nutritious.

Her name is Sofrito, and we also call her the Purrito Bandito. Previous nicknames while in kittenhood included noddlebones (she tended to flop when picked up), ragamuffin, and fetid moppet.

It's pretty depressing, but the fact that soil and groundwater are almost certainly contaminated anywhere that humans have touched. I've seen all kinds of places from gas stations, to dry cleaners, to mines, to fire stations, to military bases, to schools, to hydroelectric plants, the list could go on, and every last one of them had poison in the ground.
