I’m Ukrainian living in the US, I know.

And yet, there are idiots all over social platforms who bitch (and even joke!) about how they’re “tired of giving money to Ukraine). I only wish they knew how painful that is to see. I wish that they at least had the courtesy to keep their mouth shut.

Yea, it’s heartbreaking to see comments like “I’d rather [xyz] than give another billion to Ukraine.” Just no words. I wish these people at least had the courtesy to shut the fuck up.

Oh yea, when Teslas first started appearing, I loved their whole philosophy and really wanted one.

While I’m not saying that your advice is wrong, I just wanted to point out that sometimes a “difference in political views” can mean a difference in values. Also, I wouldn’t be able to be friends with a Putin sympathizer. I’m not saying that the OP should break off his friendship. I just wanted to point out that sometimes it’s about more than just politics. Sometimes more is at stake.

I’m very surprised they’re not choosing to blame the democrats for that as well….or the fact that “we’re sending all the money to Ukraine”.

I just also wish they’d take this as a lesson for the future. How could they have elected a convicted felon, blackmailer, narcissist, POS in the first place.

Are they getting on board? I stopped following the news ever since Trump got elected because it became way too depressing.

“It was supposed to hurt others. Not ME!”

Do you think they will?

Every time I dare to read those comments, I end up regretting it. Can you please tell me what is wrong with those people? I really don’t like thinking that people are hopeless and the majority is probably not. But i need help dealing with those.

I chuckled at the “I just ate, so there’s no hunger example” because I have a conservative-leaning friend who was of the “it just rained, so there’s no drought” mentality.

I guess you’re right.

I was at a loss as to what to do when a few of my friends were expressing support for Trump, knowing that he plans on cutting aid to Ukraine (as well as other fucked up shit).
