Are you using any custom launch options? I've had this happen sometimes when i tried running a game with gamemode, but then it turned out my gamemode was broken, and when that happens it doesn't start your game at all and it just stops immediately after gamemode exits with an error.

I used to install it with bottles and it seemed to work fine (but i haven't really played it apart from testing if it worked), but bottles gave me some issues as of late so i decided to install the ea launcher as a non steam game. It didnt work with regular proton but after using ge-proton the game booted just fine. I now have a weird issue where jedi fallen order doesn't work though. Tried both bottles and steam, but the game immediately crashes with an unreal engine error. It's weird because i have played it in the past on linux just fine.
The only problem i had with my 6950xt was that overclocking was partially broken, but it has already been fixed since kernel 6.7 came out. Other than that i've had no problems.
The fact that it's that noticable, even in games, is unfortunate and i don't know what would fix it. In my case i have a va panel that also flickers with vrr enabled, but i only notice it on the desktop. I only use window managers so i have keybinds to turn vrr on and off, which solves it for me. On windows it doesn't flicker on the desktop though, so i'm assuming it does some stuff in the background where it only gets turned on when i boot up a game.
If i had the funds for an oled, it would probably be still worth it to me. I'm personally more concerned about burn-in
Yeah i'm not a doom player myself but i was surprised about it having so many problems as well, cause generally speaking i always heard people praise their pc ports for being extremely well optimized.
This isn't even a platform issue per se, windows user complain just as much about denuvo, allbeit for different reasons.
From what i've heard the game crashes a lot
The swastika fans is news to me. When was that?
I thought wuthering waves was broken on linux because of anti-cheat
Well, if it was used to prolong the life of your gpu it would be nice, but unfortunately it seems to be mainly used by devs so that they don't have to optimize their games, so the end result is people with new gpus get blurry crap, and the older gpus get left behind all the same.
