Currently dying to death on account of "just one more conversation" in Baldur's Gate last night. Probably doesn't help that it was the two nights before the that, too.

Not really so far as I understand it. "Bipolar swings" are more commonly on a week-month timescale.
It's kind of like half way between angry and happy. Can't you just pick an emotion? /s
