I'm a real dummy about modern video games. I was an OG gamer from the 80s, who spent the equivalent of a down payment on a house in quarters, playing Centipede at mall arcades. Later, I got into the early PC shoot-em up games like Quake, Quake 2, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, etc.

But I never got a game console, because I had recognized that I could have a serious problem with video game addiction. Eventually, I stopped playing altogether, especially after I started a business, and had to carve out time in my schedule, and video games and sports had to go. I didnt follow either for about 25 years.

Now I'm semi-retired, and would love to play those old games again, but I don't really know how to do it on a modern PC. I actually have all my old CD-ROMs, but my computer hasn't had a CD-ROM drive for years, and Im not going to buy a console.

Is there a way to download Quake and Quake 2, and my other favorites? Where do I go for that?

I know, I'm a gaming idiot, I just spent the last few decades focusing on other stuff.

Supposedly Lincoln said something like "We are as happy as we make up our minds to be," and whether he said it or not, I've adopted that philosophy. I'm not always happy, but even when times are tough, like they are right now, it allows me to still remain optimistic, and not surrender to despair, and give up.

I can't argue with this at all. Obama was huge disappointment.

I can't say i was surprised. When i saw him at that giant rally after his election, with everyone going wild at how much things were going to get better, I just knew it was going to be more of the same neo-liberal, Republican Lite bullshit we'd had for the Clinton administration. I doubted it would seem much different than the Bush administration. Throughout his campaign, with the slogan of Hope & Change, it seemed like he leaned much harder on the Hope than the Change.

His constant appeasement with Republicans when he had the majority in Congress really pissed me off. He consistently deferred to them, altering legislation to suit them, hoping it would draw their votes, and they kicked him in the balls every time. You'd think he'd learn after the first couple, but he didn't, but he still gave into them over and over, without anything in return but disdain.

And he really blew it with Obamacare, which was a perfect example of his appeasement strategy. It was an improvement on a broken system, but just because the tub drains a little quicker doesn't make it fixed. He could have created a new system, but he adopted Romney's system and dropped the public option, all to attract Republican votes, and they all voted No anyway, thanks to McConnell.

If you are going to create and pass Republican legislation, just become a Republican and be done with it.

I've read a couple of books on tipping points, and it takes between 2-3.5% to reach a tipping point, and create change. With a population of 335 million, that's a top number of about 11-12 million people.

They don't all have to be in the streets protesting. Writing your elected representatives, posting opposition messages online, speaking to, and influencing those around you, even just staying aware and following the news can help.

By next summer, nearly every American will be negatively impacted by Putin's Chaos Strategy that HitlerPig and Skum are implementing as official government policy. Not only will there be enormous protests, but there will be multiple simultaneous protests in every city, representing various issues - inflation, deportations, race relations, women's rights, healthcare, war, etc. Elected officials will be drowning in angry messages from constituents. Even MAGA Morons will be feeling the pinch, and demanding change, and the upcoming mid-term will be looking like a MAGA Republican bloodbath. And it will all be deliberate.

HitlerPig has a very slim lead in both Chambers, and he can't afford a flip in either one, or Dems will have control of investigative committees with subpoena and arrest powers. He cannot take that chance, even with a rigged election. He will have to find an excuse to suspend elections, and time it so it won't make it through the courts before Election day. His frequent criminal and civil cases have made him an expert on manipulating the judicial calendar, slowing it down and speeding it up as needed.

So he will use the time between now and next summer to cause as much chaos and mayhem in the lives of American citizens as possible, creating an historically huge protest movement next summer. Then he will start attacking.

He will encourage his RedHats (the equivalent of Hitler's Brownshirts) to instigate trouble at protests, destroying property, looting, burning, etc., accompanied by shocked and angry responses from official MAGA sources. As we get closer to the election in late-summer, he will start having law enforcement start responding to the violence with heavier violence and arrests of demonstrators, who will be charged with domestic terrorism (for property damage caused by MAGA RedHats), and threatened with deportation to El Salvador without due process.

Finally, sometime in October, he will unleash the military on multiple protests in several major cities, with Tiananmen-style attacks that will kill hundreds, if not thousands. Of course, he will have blamed the liberal protesters for all of the violence every step if the way, and when we are too close to the election for the courts to intervene, he will announce that he is imposing Martial Law, and suspending elections (and protests) until peace can be restored. Since he controls the peace, that will never happen.

Of course, skipping the Mid-term election will soften the citizens up to the idea of skipping the 2028 election, and the he can settle in as Dictator-4-Life, his real ambition.

The 2nd Amendment exists for the exact situation we are in today. A literal traitor has manipulated our society to rise to the top and take control for his own nefarious purposes.

The Founding Fathers foresaw that possibility, and baked the solution into our government, making it second only behind Freedom of Speech and Freedom from Religion.

Add Oregon and Washington. Then they can form an alliance with Canada and Mexico, and the United States will be mostly surrounded.

I also think that at some point, Putin is going to demand the return of Alaska, and HitlerPig will consider it, or maybe even do it. So maybe Alaska can join the alliance, too. They can use their oil to fund their economy.

They're feeling a lot of the same pressures from the Russian Far Right as we are, we're just farther along, although England got bitten pretty good by Brexit.

Maybe it takes a dictatorship who doesn't allow alrernative political perspectives to threaten their stability to control the world economy.

Hes a traitor, doing Putin's bidding.

I'm really tired of these disengenuous reports that make it sound like he's just misguided. He's not misguided, hes literally a traitor, actively destroying America at Putin's command.

We can't have a viable solution until we accept this. MAGA is treason, and it needs to be ferociously purged from our society.

There we go, thats what I've been waiting for.

They are totally unauthorized by any legitimate government agency. They are essentially pirates, and if they tried to force their way past the lobby of any government agency without a warrant, they should be immediately shot by security.

That was then, this is now. The Nazis don't respect the law, nor court decisions, and do whatever the fuck they want. The law no longer exists, and states can do anything they want. If the serial killing insurance companies want to sue over interstate commerce, then the states can simply prohibit them from doing business in the state - problem solved.

Besides, who cares if they sue? Ignore them, ignore the decisions (unless its a win), and do what serves the PEOPLE, not the corporations. Then raise the state corprate taxes to 100% of revenues.

Fuck the corporations, fuck the Sociopathic Oligarchs who own them, and any MAGA Nazi traitor that supports them. They are the enemy, and we have no obligation to do anything that serves their interests in the slightest way.

American citizens are not putting up with it all. There are massive protests in every city in America every weekend.

The problem is the the media is barely covering it at all, so people keep saying that Americans arent doing anything about it.

By next summer, every weekend will see MULTIPLE simultaneous major demonstrations in every major city across America, protesting multiple issues. That's when HitlerPig will turn the military and law enforcemnt against the protesters in a Tiananmen-style response that will allow him to impose Martial Law and cancel the mid-term elections, and preserve his Congressional majorities.
