So defensive.

Let’s stop pretending that wearing a uniform automatically means someone served their country. If you signed up to enforce what the US military has been doing for decades, you didn’t serve your country, you served the machinery that exploits it.

Thankfully, you now have the opportunity to prove it counted for something. If not- well, not only are you not fighting back, you’re a veteran that isn’t fighting back.

So, nothing really.

You won’t be disappeared for doing a cute little protest with the consent of the people you’re protesting against.

I came in here to call Americans cowards but it looks like you’re already here making sure it’s covered.

Nevermind, I'm full of shit- Mike Johnson isn't Mormon, he's a southern Baptist- so, yeah, this tracks.

~~I always believed that Mormons had some principles- ones I didn’t agree with, sure- but at least they had their own set of standards. People like Harry Reid, or Mitt Romney, even. I never expected them to take the same path as the evangelicals, who, as far as I could ever tell, never stood for anything longer than five minutes. Say what you want about the old-school LDS- but they used to live by their code, even if that code made your skin crawl. At least you knew where they stood.~~

They are ineffective because their voters allow them to be.

At that point, non-violence was an option. Unfortunately, when given both options, Americans chose “neither, we’re fine, and fuck you for being an alarmist.”

If you still think in May 2025 that your elected officials are your way out of this, you’re absolutely boned

The US doesn’t have a “left”
