I honestly don't think it's that common anymore, I've seen QR codes for Bandcamp or streaming more than CDs in the last 4 years or so.

Whoever uploaded them has to send you a link to them. It does have a limit of 10gb, but it's pretty reliable in my experience.

Personally it doesn't need to be user friendly for me to use it, just have decent specs. Like at least a flagship phone from 2019 kind of specs. All the Linux phones are unbearably slow and have crap cameras and battery life.
