Check out some smaller islands off the main island. Lots of little artistic communities. Don't just hit the big spots. Comox Valley is beautiful There are some old growth cedar walks off the coast in tofino (careful Tofino is as expensive as you can imagine) that are amazing (of you can't manage the boat ride check out cathedral Grove near Port Alberni). Campbell River is a quaint town with great fishing, BC is full of forestry roads with great little remote campsites (on any given day you can have a lake all to yourself in many places if you just ask around town), surfing is pretty big on the island take a lesson or rent some gear, super fun for everyone. The Northern part of the island is not to be forgotten. The people are amazing and though the terrain can be harsh it is amazingly beautiful and remote.

Wonder if he will sell direct cause I won't Etsy.
Dumped all the social media for us and our small business as well as my art sales. Shut down Amazon and the streaming stuff. No more American big box or fast food. The garden is much bigger cause fuck Galen Weston and Sobeys too. Don't forget those assholes are profiting big from all this shit. I teach a cooking class for kids and I think I might expand that to adults this fall as well.
It is going to affect the economy and it is going to hurt someone. That's just the nature of the beast. The economy and the people will recover if you support them. Someone will pick up the space that is made by the losses of American companies. It will take time. This isn't happening overnight. Stay strong and understand that if you impact my family I am ok with it. We will all have to lose some to gain much.
Hit up your MP about CPP for me would you. Disabled people and retirees are paid from a fund that is heavily invested in the American stock market. The federal government already hates disabled people and wants us dead, so any help we can get to get them to divest would be appreciated.
The local community center is a good place to start. Offer to teach others what you know through the rec department where you live. They can help you find a suitable location and how to contact the community and help you advertise. They are always open to new programs starting up and would welcome you contacting them to speak about it.
Local community and youth groups as well. Offer to speak about your knowledge to them and what they can do themselves. Offer to set up clinics at community centers and drop ins where you can help people directly with any problems or questions they may have and make a contact for yourself so you can stay in touch. Ask young people you meet who are excited about learning to help teach older members of the community.
Impact your community and it will impact the entire country.
Any small resistance is resistance.
Stop supporting mega corps and billionaires by quitting x, Amazon, Facebook, insta, snap, Google, Netflix, Disney, Hulu, Microsoft, apple, phone, broadcasting companies, Hollywood studios completely. Stop feeding the machine. If we can you can too and quit the "but my business" or "but my friends list". It's easy to do nothing and make so many excuses.
Join a local organization that helps your fellow man. Learn about people who are different than you, support them, eat with them, talk to them. Get the fuck off your couch and from behind the screen.
Promote resistance marches/public strikes and take time off work even if it hurts you to protest openly and loudly. Resistance isn't cheap or easy. It's going to hurt you and your family personally and until it does you aren't doing shit.
Stop saying I can't, it's not possible, no one cares. It takes an individual to be outside the norm and start a movement. To stand up and put themselves on the line for what they believe. If you aren't willing to do this then you are one of them regardless of your words. Actions matter more than your blustery bullshit.
Support organizations that are rallying to fight or organize. Offer your skills and support no matter how maxi or mini they may be. Quit saying I can't and start doing.
Organize and join resistance orgs and pages online in places that lots of Americans gather. Be active in these groups. They will help you see what you can and can't do.
Join a union or strike with one. Walk the picket line. Meet resistance fighters in their own environment.
Encourage everyone you know to do these things as well. Drag your friend kicking and screaming. Enforce to them how important it is. They still won't go...go and make new friends. Encourage your old friends to join you. If they don't they don't deserve you.
Don't have friends...join a resistance movement. Common goals unite people and develop strong bonds.
And for fuck sakes stop asking the world what you should do and start doing it. There are suggestions, lists, organizations, online groups and so much more that can educate you on how to resist. Attacking individuals online because you are unwilling to educate yourself or resist even for your own benefit is pointless and just encourages us outside the US to lump you in with your administration. You will not get assistance or open dialog from anyone other than your echo chamber.
We should be courting a weapons deal with Ukraine months ago when all this started. We are each in the same boat right now. Working together would only help each individually.
Just potash alone would kill them. That's a huge hit to lose so much necessary fertilizer. Impact the food chain heavy and suddenly the citizens aren't so comfy to let It all go down.
Drone. Buy a drone and learn to use it well. Join a club. Learn how to navigate. Lots of us have guns. Multiple guns. You can have one of mine.
Take away potash as that kills corn farmers. Corn is the base of a lot of industrial plants owned by the ruling class.
And also medical isotopes. Those old politicians will find it difficult to see their doctors without scans and X-rays. Shame how many heart attacks and strokes there will be.
