Tolerate and slaughter aren't the only options.

Inconsistencies. The bottles are different in every panel. The door is missing after the first panel despite not being any closer to the bar. The scale is way off from the other two in the last panel. The bar fades out of existence in the last panel, and the wall panel is gone. The text being cut off on the edge of the second panel.

“punched in the back of the head and on the side of his body so many times that he saw stars.”

Surely there would be bruises or medical records if this were the case.

Some of my fondest memories as a young child are of playing video games with my older brothers. I'd love to let my kids have a similar experience with their siblings or parents. While there is nothing wrong with your style of parenting, there is also nothing wrong with letting them play video games as long as you're being responsible.

And your style of parenting would be a lot harder if your 5 year old has older siblings.

Its like a hunger games fanfic that's so much worse in every way.

I don't see the leaders of soup kitchens constantly molesting children and getting away with it. All those things you mentioned are still doing good things. What good things have the church done recently other than fix the things they largely caused (i.e. homophobia), and does it outweigh the numerous horrific things they still do?

I vote we send him to an uninhabited island he threw tariffs on. The penguins won't be happy but he's gotta go somewhere.

  • Humans are born of the universe.
  • Humans are sentient.
  • Therefore, the universe is sentient.

Your conclusion does not follow your premises. Just because one thing has an attribute does not mean the thing that came before it has that same attribute. See:

  • Humans are born of the universe.
  • Humans are supposed to have two arms and two legs.
  • Therefore, the universe is supposed to have two arms and two legs.

human response to existential dread

I realize this was likely not intended, but you've ironically removed most of the nuance in why religions came to exist in this statement lol.

But you've certainly directly interacted with all of them in some form or another.
