I feel like nobody read Project 2025. Everyone seems all Pikachu face lately, when they’ve not only told us all this, but blatantly captured all the levers of power.

What did you expect they’d do?

Spoiler: VPNs will be outlawed soon.

I’m tired of the future being destroyed by capitalists/christian nationalists. That’s been happening for hundreds and thousands of years, every time they gain power, no matter where or when. Republicans are relatively new to this game.

I’m also tired of society having to relearn this lesson at great loss of life and suffering, over and over.

We’re smarter than this, and we far outnumber them.

‘They’ say that because turnout for primaries is always abysmal, so candidates who make it to generals are usually centrist.

If progressives actually voted in primaries, they’d have the options they want in generals. But usually, the vast majority who vote in primaries are older, more moderate voters.

Progressive candidates exist, but if you want them, you can’t just vote every 4 years.

Honestly, primaries are all that matter.

If progressives don’t win the primaries, all we have to vote for are centrists and fascists, which means more fascism.

Please, please vote in primaries and get everyone you know to vote in the primaries, too.

There are leftists trying to gain a foothold in the Democrat party, and some are succeeding (see the latest New York mayoral primary).

Many people ignore primaries, though. You know who does vote in primaries? Older more moderate voters. So progressives tend to lose primaries, then the people who didn’t bother with the primaries complain there aren’t progressive enough candidates in the main elections, so they don’t vote.

If you want more leftist candidates (within the FPTP system), support progressive candidates and show up to the primaries.

What’s all porn, csam, or sa?

You replied this to my beehaw news community recommendation, and someone saying behaw is blocked from .world. Are you saying beehaw is those things? I’m very confused now.

Should I not have upvoted your comment or….

e: I downvoted then upvoted you again to balance it out, just in case.

Wait, beehaw is? I guess I’m only subbed to the news community there, which was the second-most active news community after .world.

Is that instance shady?

I’ll stop recommending ot if so. O.o

No, but I’ve definitely tried not being disabled.

It’s almost like you don’t just choose to be these things. Like, if I could be an able-bodied cishet christian man, I wouldn’t have these problems. My fault for not male-ing hard enough.

e: Wait, hold on….

Nope, still no penis. I’ll give it another go tomorrow.
