No they aren’t looking for “status quo” they are looking for an improvement on the status quo and not willing to throw the dice to gamble that what replaces a burned down system would be any better. Or not even much worse. Because given the disproportionate input of the moneyed class it would almost definitely be worse.

JFC, since at least that demented shit Reagan, corporate welfare for the Uber rich and suppression of workers rights have been American domestic policy. And since the early 20th century it’s been a goal of the GOP. Arguably, corporate welfare and worker suppression have been founding principles of the US.
