There were at least 3 beyond highly likely sources for the concealed tapes:

• Epsteins island center where things were recorded
• A backup in Epsteins Manhattan office location (which had its safe opened after which the fbi left, came back later only to find the safe empty.)
• Ghislaine Maxwell who was rumored to know of or have a location of her own.

Seeing how Putin is very adept at working in shaded circles it's very reasonable to assume he now is in possession of a copy.
Not even unthinkable that epstein sold/gave putin a copy himself when he went there when Trump also had regular personal dealings in moscow.

I think you meant to say it was a private affair (from far before his presidency) and therefore not a presidential action that he made remarks.

But Trump wants his powers to work retroactively as well, so anything in the past can be wiped off his slate as long as he remarks about it while being president.

The maga republicans will never release an original and untampered file. It will bring lasting damage to trump, their current election power, and most of all it jeopardizes project 2025 greatly.

Project 2025 is here to stay and no threat to it will be tolerated.

They will keep releasing edited/incomplete documents, hoping a complete version never surfaces (but hidden documents/videos are most likely out there, it is almost tangible in the air how fearful some are that more info will surface)

But added to that, the Democrats currently at the top also will not allow the full files to be released and will thwart efforts where they can.

So it absolutely does not surprise me they were shuffled into a side group and given menial tasks until they'd quit. It does make me question how they couldn't see this coming? It was quite clear the administration does not want/value highly skilled people who can think for themselves.
