You're more than welcome to report since they're not the only mod and it's helpful to have a record of it.

I'm seeing most of their comments linking that sub in !canada@lemmy.ca and other communities. In this community, they're active and it makes up a somewhat small and infrequent amount of their comments, so I wouldn't consider it spam personally.

But if we get reports from more people and the community has a problem with it then I'm happy to have a conversation about limiting or removing those types of comments.

It's fine to disagree but stereotyping and tagging another community member because they made one post about Canadian vegan products is uncivil.

Don't be a dick. Let's not turn Lemmy into a snarky reddit sub.

I prefer neither American companies when there are many alternatives available, including in some cases co-op or independent Canadian businesses.

At the end of the day, there's no avoiding that shopping at Costco is contributing to their $930 USD-per-share stock price.

I think it makes sense to remove this post since it ultimately supports an American company over the many Canadian grocery options. Also, it's sus since it is OP's only interaction on Lemmy with no other posts or comments. Even if given the benefit of the doubt, it would be more appropriate for a different community.

Moosehead is 100% Canadian and worker-owned. Good stuff.

If you're Canadian, you can walk into most pharmacies and they will give you a kit for free and provide brief training on the spot.

I can't remember which website it was but you can also get it for free, delivered by mail in Ontario.

Avoid storing it in extreme heat or cold since it degrades the naloxone. But degraded "carcan" is better than none.

Consider it harm reduction.

Nope! I've drank straight from the sap collecting bucket many times and not had any problems.

If it's sold commercially though, it'd need some sort of treatment like pasteurisation. Sap sucker brand probably already does this

I hope so. Maple water is delicious!!!!

Let's get this to the front page.

Their panniers are made in Canada and the company is Canadian, based out of Sherbrooke, Quebec. All of their products have a lifetime warranty.

Ontarians get a lot of their oil from red states like Texas, North Dakota, and Indiana since we don't have the infrastructure to only use Canadian oil. Similarly, Quebec gets the majority of its oil from the USA and Algeria.

For Ontarians who live in cities where many trips are within a few kilometres, replacing the occassional car trip with a bike ride will reduce our dependance on American gasoline. If Ontario uses less gas, then we will cut down on American oil imports while the core stays from Canadian sources.

Lastly, having the ability to get around by bicycle builds resilience so you have a backup option if oil prices suddenly skyrocket, you suffer job/financial loss, etc. At the risk of changing topics, do not discount public transit either which supports local jobs and your municipal economy.

As the spring planting season begins soon, it is best to support a local soil yard and farmers who sell composted maneure.

What are our Canadian options for store-bought bags of soil when we're in a pinch?
