I mean if you really want a luxury car you probably buy RR or something like that... Mercedes is not what it used to be in build quality etc...

[–] BigShammy80@feddit.org 1 points 13 hours ago

Yeah, i wish we would do that...

Yes. This is exactly what we SHOULD NOT do...buckle down and kiss his ass...but someone, somewhere will give a few million to support Mercedes to build a factory in America, and they will cheer themselves how effective their tariffs are...it's just a sad world we live in...

You will never get Amazon or Apple blocked in Germany. X or Meta sure... but Germans are way too lazy to not use Amazon and Apple fanboys would go crazy if they couldn't buy the stuff in Germany.

But what is the alternative to Whatsapp? As Europeans, we would have to set a switchover date, for example 1 January 2026, when we all switch from Wahtsapp to Signal or whatever. That would set an example and you wouldn't have the problem of 2 people using Whatsapp, 3 using Threema and the rest using something else... Whatsapp is only still so big because almost everyone has it...

That would be a dream! We should try to take away any possibility of blackmailing us from the outset!

In February 2025, 1,429 new Tesla brand cars were registered in Germany. This was 76.3 per cent fewer than in the same month last year. Between January and February 2025, just over 2,700 new Tesla vehicles were registered, a decrease of 70.6 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Germany follows the trend... i hope it drops even lower...

Yeah, sure. He actually makes Europe stronger. Europeans avoid buying American products, TESLAS etc... I'm curious where this is going in the long run... sometime he will recognize that his actions don't get him anywhere.

If you have seen one of these Gepards in action, you know that everything on the other side of the barrels are in big trouble, except it's heavily armored.
