Next they're going to tell me that bees don't have hearts

Oh, I hadn't heard of that one. That's quite funny

I had a similar experience. The video that helped me had pretty poor video quality compared to some of the other results, so I only turned to it when I was burnt out from basically every other video being useless for my task. Props to all the Indian educational YouTubers

I find it amusing that this is like the epitome of cool. This means that if a person's goal was to become cool, their surest path there would be to forsake their quest of coolness and learn how to be unabashedly themselves

Le gasp! Perhaps that is why I have been feeling unresolved all day.

A friend calls this "para-productive" work, when it's in moderation; it's not directly helpful towards her task, but it's useful for gearing up and building momentum. If it gets too far into the procrastination side of things, she calls it "psuedo-productive".

(I asked her whether making up these silly phrases is psuedo-productive, or para-productive. She replied that it was "meta-productive". 🙄

Ah yes, because the rest of the world is so great at responding to online mis/disinformation.

It blew my mind when I learned about this, and how people who have money from completely legit sources have had little to no recourse in getting the money back; it's the money itself which is considered guilty of a crime, and money isn't entitled to due process. It's fucked beyond belief.

I already have it in a virtual machine: the past ✨

I feel like there's a joke in here about Linux users propensity to distrohop being like a ritual reenactment of switching to Linux for the first time (without having to defile one's computer with Windows again)

My late best friend, who was studying postgraduate politics and public policy, used to start the day by doing household chores while listening to the news across multiple different channels. He said that the German news often had far better coverage and analysis of UK events than UK news did.

I hope I'm a good meme. The kind of meme that makes you roll your eyes and smile despite yourself.
