Could you elaborate on what a barrister is? I was completely confused why someone who works with coffee is talking about courts. I assume it's a legal profession?

I can see what you mean, but you still get reminded that you are trans/don't get clocked fully as the gender you're presenting as.

The "for" part is what makes this a backhanded compliment. It heavily implies prejudice/preconceived notions, because there is no need to compare to the other group. While it might be a compliment directed at the person, it's implicity demeaning to the community you are getting compared to. It's not necessarily a firmly or consciously held believe, but it still shows what they are expecting.

To provide context for english speakers, this would 4.5 trillion and 225 billion.

Germany uses a different system that adds two sets with the same prefix, one ending in -illion (million, billion) and -illiarden (milliarden, billiarden)

Bit or byte, those are completely different experiences.

We moved this week, so we had to swap our internet contract, because if we moved with the type of connection we had, we'd only get 16Mbits/s. With our current one, we get I think 500Mbit/s or about 60MByte/s

Hey guys, I am quite new to the whole self-hosting world so I haven't done too much. Before I dive in deeper though, I'd like to know how I should choose my domain name vendor. Specifically, I only want a domain, no VPS or other hosting capability as I got some old laptops running at home I want to use for testing the waters.

Thanks in advance!
