You know. I hope she’s earnest about this wake up call and becomes a MAGA “reformist.” Bad people in toxic systems can do good things in life, and her following isn’t trivial.
…But proof is in the puddin. Especially with her history.
I will also say that, if she’s betting on a Trump collapse, that is not a great bet and she knows it. If she simply wants power, it doesn’t seem like she’d be leaving Congress while saying these things.
If she were in it for the power, she'd use her new role as 'maverick' in the GOP's razor-thin margin to play kingmaker.
If she were in if for the money, she'd retire as soon as her pension vests.
If she were Truly Awakened, she'd resign as soon as she learned she's been tainted by a toxic system.
She did the later:
She said her last day would be Jan. 5, 2026.
It’s not instant. But for a congresswoman, that’s an abrupt resignation.
Jan 5 2026 is the day her pension vests: 5 years of service.
Didn’t realize that.
But still. Not waiting 1 month and forfeiting a government pension, just to make a point? That seems stupid to me. And it’s not like she’s making a ridiculous amount of money from the pension.
To be clear, I don’t want to veer into defending her. I’m sure she makes tons of money from social media, which is kind of sickening.

They are a person who saw that they were the problem. They get credit for that. They might still be a miserable person but we should encourage all Trump supporters to admit their mistake. Some of them might need some knife marks on their forehead but we will get to that later.

She's getting a small level of coverage because of her sharp departure from previous statements.
She might be full of shit but the media simply reporting what she says is not unethical in any way.

mtg is one of them that believes in the conspiracies so to speak, when trump dint deliver she became incensed. plus what really tipped her over was trumps lack of endorsment for mtgs run at the senate.

That being said it's been oddly quiet from her friend boebert.
This may be appropriate in two ways. Trump is the leopard in this case but in the future we may look back and see her eating his face. He may have created the leopard that will do him in.

apparently she is pissed because her senate run was derailed before she had a chance, because trump(likely from his advisor told him not) did not support senate goals.
