It’s thanks to him we have the first stages of dentalcare and pharmacare set.

They need to set the means a little higher. $90k household income isn't a lot anymore. It's disqualifies a lot of people, and I think that's by design. Talk to me when it's a household limit of $180k if you are actually serious about Canadians taking advantage of such a program.

The amount of cleanings need to be increased to 2 times a year instead of just 1.

Though this program is great for people who can’t afford insurance.

For sure it's great, but it could be even greater if more had access to it. Friggin politics though, people screaming at clouds on Facebook, when they are at the same time the most harmed.

We definitely need more people speaking up in expanding dentalcare.

For anyone wondering it shows ~9m people eligible in 2025 in the original doc titled: A Proposed Framework for the Canadian Dental Care Plan from the Dentist Association

Also I think it should be mentioned that the wording used in the StatCan data is "Approved applicants".

If that's true then the maximum would be be 21.76% of the population covered by the plan. We're currently 8.36% away from that goal.

However our taxes are going to Sun Life Financial who is currently lobbying against pharmacare.

From what i understand, I'm not elligible for it because I have "access" to coverage through my employer. It's available to me as an expensive add-on to my existing insurance, which I'll never request.

That's pretty unfair!

Consider writing to your local mp demanding that your tax dollars be used to expand dentalcare.

I actually suspect that I might be able to get it reimbursed as medical fees in a tax return, so... Makes sense and I should just get it?

Every person who is experiencing homeless should be told about this program, since they're likely to have to missed the news due to not having a mailbox or internet connection.

I will be eligable as soon as I do my 2025 taxes.

My daughter is already enrolled.
