isn't Sailfish (OS) mostly powered by the Russian government since about 10 years? it used to be a great phone OS but at that point I had to wipe my phone :(

Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, in 2023 the company's former leadership started a new company, temporarily named Jollyboys. The old Jolla OY was wound up, and they renamed the newer concern to Jolla Mobile Oy.

If only it was available in the US
Gives a nice overview of the state of alternative mobile OS and devices, too
it would be duopoly, not a monopoly, because both have no other competition.
If they manage to sell 10.000 copies, they will work on "The Other Half" which gives the phone hardware modding capabilities!
