That was an incredible opening for a game! Makes me excited for what is to come from Larian Studios. Also, that persisting rumor that the end image had something to do with Elder Scrolls 6 was put to rest in a very cinematic way, I knew it wasn't associated with Elder Scrolls 6. Just like Jason Schreier had already indicated in a leak post. Bethesda could never and will never at the moment, nobody with that level of talent is there anymore.

How is it meaningless or irrelevant? Genuinely curious. Some of the stuff happening in here are seen in OS2.
It's a good pitch for a 3rd original sin game.
It's not a third original sin game, it's the third divinity game. Divinity original sin is way newer then the divinity saga. Just saying. Both gameplay and tone are very different, they only share lore partially.

I have high hopes for Larian after delivering two of the greatest RPGs I've played one after the other.

No idea what the game is but it sure was creepy!
I am currently playing Divinity 2, and the game's humour and lore is indeed dark.
Ego Draconis or Original Sin 2? I'm not a diehard fan or anything, but I know some people online like to make the distinction known.
I've only really played Ego Draconis (Divinity 2), but I've played the tutorial of Original Sin 2.
Original Sin 2 I mean
This is the third game of the divinity saga, not the OS saga. Tone is much darker, not as much whimsy stuff.

Well that was horrifying, a bit much.
Whatever larian makes I’m sure we’ll be great; but this did seem a bit too graphic. Im still really looking forward to it though!
It would be completely fine as a cutscene in an 18+ rated game, but it was a bit much for a trailer revealed at an (all ages?) event with no warning at all. Extremely detailed melting flesh and interspecies copulation was not on my bingo card.
Wishlisted, looking forward to more info.

He looks to be wearing some sort of symbols that refer to Braccus Rex, a tyrant king. Maybe this is a whickerman situation where the locals celebrate the death of Braccus Rex with a live sacrifice dressed as one?
A kind of flower, can't remember the name... Blood rose? But it's a demonic type of flower that only grows in soil that has been tainted with extreme suffering. Might have something to do with the Void...?
Probably some sort of Void corruption, I would reckon. DOSII literally had people and creatures boiling, then exploding, into Void creatures.

Divinity Original Sin 2 is one of my favorite games of all times but this looks too gory for me. Actually it doesn‘t feel like Divinity at all.
I have only played D:OS 2 too but afaik the first Divinity games are pretty hardcore when it comes to gore (?).
